5 Ways to Give
1. Pledge a corporate gift.
Pledge a donation to help us kick-off the fall campaign.
Consider a gift that matches the totals in your Employee Giving
Campaign (see #3).
2. Become a Leader.
An individual in your executive—or anyone at your company—
gives $1000 or more. These personal donations are the fastest
growing part of our campaign.
3. Run an Employee Giving Campaign.
Select an enthusiastic employee to organize your workplace
campaign and encourage employee pledges. Host brief
presentations and special events. Consider matching your
employees’ donations dollar for dollar.
4. Lend us an employee.
Your employee will work out of our offi ce for 15 weeks, help us
raise support from corporations like yours, and help them with
their workplace campaigns.
5. Sponsor one of our events,programs or publications.
Pay for a printed publication, web page or special event.
This year when you’re considering how much to give to United Way,We ask that you please become a United Way “Everyday Hero”. By giving at least $1 a day ($365 a year) you will ensure that children through to seniors are living better lives every day because of United Way funded programs.
Giving is easiest through payroll deduction. Through your workplace, you can pledge to have an amount deducted from your pay. No need to track receipts because your donation will show up on your annual T4 slip at tax time. If you are not sure if your work offers payroll deduction (PD) or want to sign your workplace up for PD, contact United Way at (519) 621-1030.
