Self Help Cambridge Recovery Centre Program - Self Help Alliance
Individuals are improving their recovery with healthier life choices, and improvement in social and pre-employment skills
- 58% of individuals improved their employment skills and were able to identify how to find a job 79% experienced a decrease in social isolation and improvement in social networks
- 79% experienced improvement in healthier life style activities
Healthy Living: Positive Steps to Dealing with Anger Program - Family Counselling Centre of Cambridge & North Dumfries
- 92% of program participants indicated that they are using destructive expressions of anger less often, and using healthy coping strategies more often since joining the group.
Client Success Story
Before coming to Self Help Alliance in Cambridge (SHA), James lacked a strong support system, was struggling with depression and an undiagnosed mental health issue. After several months at SHA, James learned how to better cope with his depression, manage his anger, have healthier relationships,and adapt better to the changes in his life. He now volunteers for SHA, providing peer support to others. Volunteering has provided him with a sense of belonging and support.
