Leadership Giving
What is Leadership Giving?
Be a part of the fastest growing piece of our campaign!
United Way’s Leadership Giving Program is a great example of the generosity of Cambridge and North Dumfries residents. This program recognizes personal giving of $1,000+ to the community through United Way’s annual campaign.
In addition, "Leaders of the Future" or "Friend" level donors who contribute $500 to $999 are also recognized in select materials.

In 2010, Leadership giving (donations of $1,000+) accounted for over $600,000 from over 350 donors, or 22%, of the $2.68 million raised in United Way’s Annual Campaign. Your dreams and your investment in United Way have made this community a better place in which to live and work.
United Way gratefully recognizes your gift by:
- Mailing you a letter of thanks
- Including your name along with other Leadership Donors in United Way publications
- Inviting you to a Leadership Giving reception, sponsored for many years by Gore Mutual Insurance Company
