Neighbourhoods are much more than places where we live. They are about proximity to jobs, community resources, schools, parks, and connections between neighbours. They are the places where community members meet to develop friendships, discuss issues, and interact with one another. We work with partner agencies, through a community development model, to support our neighbourhoods. Your investment supports the community by strengthening neighbourhoods. Community Development Program – Preston Heights Community Group
Leadership:
80% of the Youth Committee reported a moderate increase in their leadership knowledge

Client Success Story
Theresa came to the Preston Heights Community Group at age 20 with a newborn daughter. Though she signed up for several programs, her attendance was sporadic and she never finished what she started. One year the neighbourhood had a clean-up event. Here she found the spark that seemed to light up everything else in her life. She became the lead organizer of the clean-up event every year since, applied for a peer position and was accepted, used our resources to find her current job, and used our resources to launch a small business in photography. Recently she became a Board Member of our Group.
