Workplace Campaigns

United Way’s efforts on behalf of the Cambridge and North Dumfries community start in a workplace just like yours. The heart and soul of every United Way campaign are organizations that care about their community, and employees who want to make a difference.

A workplace campaign brings people together as they work towards a common goal. Employees also recognize that a company that supports United Way cares about its community and therefore, its employees. Companies that run campaigns – particularly those that match their employees’ contributions – report improved morale and happier, more productive employees.

We make it easy to be involved. By working with a trusted partner like United Way, you and your employees are assured that you’re linked to an organization that is committed to making the communities where you live and work, stronger and healthier places to be.

We can tailor a workplace campaign to your needs by providing:

- United Way and funded agency reps to speak to your employees about how they help people in your community (By educating employees on the services available in the community, you’ll increase both the knowledge and impact of our network of care in Cambridge and North Dumfries. Hearing a personal story about someone who has been helped by the United Way gives donors a deeper understanding of where their dollars go, and more inspiration to give generously.)

- Tour of a United Way funded agency with your employees

- Materials such as posters, brochures and other resources to support your campaign

- Specialized training for you United Way Employee Campaign Coordinator(s) in order to develop and improve skills in areas such as project management, leadership, time management and communications

- A Loaned Representative who will help you with everything from developing campaign strategies to conducting training sessions to employee groups
